Beyoncé has been in the headlines a lot in the last few days. First because she cancelled her show in Belgium, followed by pregnancy rumours and subsequent denials. So amidst all these headlines perhaps someone decided to leak the full version the Pepsi track ‘Grown Woman‘ ~~and ‘Standing On The Sun‘~~ to move the attention away from her belly.

Grown Woman (originally heard in her Pepsi commercial) is produced by Timbaland and Standing on The Sun (originally heard in her H&M commercial) is written by Sia and produced by Greg Kurstin. Listen to the full tracks below.

Update: upon closer inspection, it seems ‘Standing On The Sun’ is a cleverly looped song, rather than the full version.

Beyonce talks about being part of the new animated movie EPIC, and how she’s hoping to score some ‘cool points’ with her daughter by making the movie. Besides voicing the role of Queen Tara, a Mother Nature-like queen of the forest, she’s also performed and co-wrote the uplifting track ‘Rise Up‘ with Sia. While Beyonce‘s fifth studio album has been delayed until the summer, snippets of individual tracks are starting to appear. The Pepsi commercial featured a snippet from Grown Woman, while the new ‘Beyonce as Mrs. Carter’ H&M commercial features the Sia and Greg Kurstin penned song ‘Standing On The Sun‘. As expected, today’s Beyonce news turned out to be a Pepsi advert featuring a snippet of a new song, ‘Grown Woman’. It’s a nice enough ad, but we hope you didn’t get your hopes up too much for this:

Listen: New Beyonce track ‘Bow Down / I Been On’

Well now we know why Beyonce tickets went on sale before new material was unleashed upon the world. Yes – ‘Bow Down‘, which appeared on Soundcloud earlier this evening, is filling us with emotions not felt since Justin Timberlake returned with ‘Suit & Tie‘. That’s definitely not a good thing, by the way.

The sonically odd ‘Bow Down/I Been On‘ features a very cross-sounding Beyonce demanding respect, stating: ‘I took some time to live my life / But don’t think I’m just his little wife / Don’t get it twisted, this is my shit / Bow down, bitches’.

We can’t help but think that lyric would have had more impact if her tour wasn’t named The Mrs. Carter Show, but whatever. Incidentally, the ‘Bow Down / I Been On’ instrumental was previously heard on the TV ad for said tour.

Let’s hope this track buzzes off ASAP and gets replaced with a proper (banging) lead single:

Beyoncé delivered a ferocious Half-time show at last night’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, packing in several solo hits plus a Destiny’s Child reunion which included a genius re-imagining of ‘Single Ladies’. The 12-minute performance was so rocking that a half-hour power cut followed! Beyoncé (and DC) performed:

Beyonce will grace the stage at the Super Bowl during the Halftime Show this Sunday. She’s expected to be joined by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a Destiny’s Child medley, but the show is surely to feature many more surprises. Beyonce releases ‘I Was Here’ video for World Humanitarian Day

Today marks the first-ever ‘World Humanitarian Day’ and to raise awareness for this United Nation’s campaign, Beyonce glammed up and shot a video for ‘I Was Here‘ at the U.N. General Assembly Hall.

“This year’s World Humanitarian Day presents an historic opportunity to bring together one billion people from around the world to advance a powerful and proactive idea: People Helping People. That is the best way to honour the many fallen aid workers we mourn today, and to celebrate the efforts of others who carry on their noble mission by rushing assistance to those who are suffering,” – United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon explains.

All proceeds of the single will go to the United Nations’ global campaign to run humanitarian aid organisations.

Most artists have a few filler tracks on each album; Beyonce has filler videos. Sadly that means for every ‘Single Ladies’ we get at least ten duff efforts like ‘Dance For You’. Honestly, who even cares at this point? And why is rubbish like this getting a video while ‘End Of Time’ languishes in the background? Strange.

Just fire that sprog out and get back to being a good popstar, Beyonce.

Anyone visiting our Facebook page this morning will have seen a trailer for ‘Live At Roseland: Elements of 4‘, the brand new live DVD + ’4′ video anthology from Beyonce. Well, the megastar has now released two performances from the DVD: ‘End Of Time‘ and ‘I Was Here‘. We can clearly see Glastonbury footage in the ‘End Of Time’ clip, and ‘I Was Here’ seems to be mainly non-Roseland material (crying fans, Destiny’s Child clips etc), so obviously B is toying with he traditional live DVD format a little bit.

Beyonce’s ‘Live At Roseland: Elements of 4′ DVD is released on November 29th, with the second disc featuring all of the ’4′ videos plus the previously unreleased ‘Dance For You’.
