“Will you still love me when I’m no longer young and beautiful?” - is the line Lana Del Rey sings on the first single lifted from the upcoming Baz Luhrmann-directed The Great Gatsby movie soundtrack.

Her cool delivery on ‘Young & Beautiful‘ works wonders with the big drums and orchestral strings, which bring the song to a slow climax.

Well this is rather lovely – Lana Del Rey and boyfriend Barrie-James O’Neill covering Nancy Sinatra’s ‘Summer Wine‘. Something to tide you over until we get the full version of ‘Young and Beautiful‘, Lana’s contribution to Baz Luhrman’s Great Gatsby soundtrack.

Lana Del Rey does epic very well, so her contribution to the soundtrack for movie The Great Gatsby was always going to be a winner. However, the 26-year-old star might be excelling herself on ‘Young & Beautiful‘, judging from the snippet released earlier today.

Young & Beautiful is the first single lifted from the soundtrack. The track will be available for download on 23rd April, with the music video expected the day before.

Young & Beautiful is featured on The Great Gatsby soundtrack, out 7 May 2013.

Oh that Beyonce is a smart one – she’s damn well going to get herself everywhere today whether you like it or not! Here’s the newly released Great Gatsby trailer which includes a snippet of her and Andre 3000′s cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black‘ (there’s also a bit of Lana Del Rey and Florence + The Machine in there):

Lana Del Rey has decided to film a cover of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Chelsea Hotel No 2‘. Lana’s version stays close to the sparse original, but she gives it a cool delivery. The video isn’t related to any upcoming project, apparently it’s something she just fancied doing for the fans.

Lana Del Rey will be re-releasing her album Born To Die as the Paradise Edition next week (November 12th). The double disc release features 8 new tracks, including leading single ‘Ride‘. One of the other new tracks is the spooky ‘Bel Air‘, which Lana uploaded to her YouTube account. The track comes with a visual featuring out-takes from her ‘Summertime Sadness’ video.

Lana Del Rey kicks off the album campaign for the Paradise Edition in a big way with a short film for new single ‘Ride’. The film premiered at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica yesterday.

The film – which was written by Lana – takes us on a ride from an L.A. petrol station through the Mojave desert, while she’s having fun with a bunch of bikers.
