Brandy becomes Bran’Nu, her rapping alter ego

With all these diva alter egos flying around, you’d be forgiven for overlooking Brandy‘s latest reinvention: Bran’Nu (see what she did there?) You’ve got to hand it to her – rather than simply wearing some provocative outfits, Bran’Nu actually tries her had at something different: rapping.

The two new tracks she recorded with Timbaland for his ‘Shock Value II’ album are surprisingly convincing (Madonna, take note – actually, please don’t.) Shame she opted for a name that sounds like a trendy brand of high-fibre cereal.
