Without any teasers, Ciara sprung her new single upon us after it leaked earlier. It’s the opening track, I’m Out ft. Nicki Minaj, from her upcoming album self-titled album. Ciara opens the bass-heavy club banger with:

“Ladies it’s your song/ So as soon as this come on/ You should get out on the floor/ Go and get your sexy on/ If you know that you better than the new girl that he on/ Go ‘head and tell him now/ ‘You gon’ miss me when I’m gone”

Before Nicki Minaj injects some fire with her rap:

“Ay yo CiCi, let me show you how to do a singing bitch greasy.”

‘I’m Out’ serves as the second single to be lifted from her self-titled album, out July 9th via Epic.

Beyoncé has been in the headlines a lot in the last few days. First because she cancelled her show in Belgium, followed by pregnancy rumours and subsequent denials. So amidst all these headlines perhaps someone decided to leak the full version the Pepsi track ‘Grown Woman‘ ~~and ‘Standing On The Sun‘~~ to move the attention away from her belly.

Grown Woman (originally heard in her Pepsi commercial) is produced by Timbaland and Standing on The Sun (originally heard in her H&M commercial) is written by Sia and produced by Greg Kurstin. Listen to the full tracks below.

Update: upon closer inspection, it seems ‘Standing On The Sun’ is a cleverly looped song, rather than the full version.

Beyonce talks about Epic + full version of ‘Rise Up’

Beyonce talks about being part of the new animated movie EPIC, and how she’s hoping to score some ‘cool points’ with her daughter by making the movie. Besides voicing the role of Queen Tara, a Mother Nature-like queen of the forest, she’s also performed and co-wrote the uplifting track ‘Rise Up‘ with Sia. Britney Spears has been alluding her new album will be more hip hop and less pop, but before she serves us her urban mix, she brings us the very poppy ‘Ooh La La‘, her contribution to the Smurfs 2 soundtrack. Last month she tweeted about the song:

“Remember that surprise song I recorded for my boys? It’s coming soon! “Ooh La La” for The Smurfs 2 Stay tuned for more…”

Produced by Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut, the summery track follows the pop sound heard on ‘Seal It With A Kiss’ from last album Femme Fatale and some of he guitar pop on Ke$ha’s album.

Former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland opens up about being in Beyonce’s shadow and an abusive relationship on her new single ‘Dirty Laundry‘. The haunting song is the third single from her fourth solo album, ‘Talk A Good Game‘, expected 17th June (UK).

The single, co-written by The-Dream, will be available to download from 21st May in the US.

Jennifer Lopez returns to the scene with her new single, Live It Up. The lead single from her upcoming 10th studio album features once again Mr ~~Rent-a-Rapper~~ Worldwide: Pitbull and was produced by RedOne, who also produced her last two hits ‘On The Floor‘ and ‘Dance Again‘.

With Live It Up JLo is clearly aiming for a summer smash, but by doing so she’s ventured so far into the generic Euro-dance sound territory, it’s hard to take this song serious. The ad-libs ‘Let’s Love, not fight, let’s fuck tonight’ don’t help here either.

Jennifer will return to the UK to perform at Chime For Change’s ‘Sound of Change’ concert in Twickenham Stadium on June 1st.

Listen: Mariah Carey returns with ‘#Beautiful’ new single

After the lacklustre reception and performance of comeback single ‘Triumphant‘, Mariah Carey returns with ‘#Beautiful‘ (we’re not counting her Oz soundtrack contribution), her new single with R&B crooner Miguel.

The track, which sounds like a modern take on a Motown classic, sees Miguel take on the first part of the track, before Mariah comes in at around 1’30. But fear not, this is her strongest track in years. The video will premiere during American Idol on 8th May.

Mariah Carey spoke to Ryan Seacrest earlier today and said the album will be out “about earlier than mid-summer“, although she is still recording new material. One of the track will even feature American Idol finalists Candice, Kree and Angie who provide back-up vocals.
