Kelly Clarkson has premiered the studio version of her new country-tinged single, ‘Tie It Up‘. The new single is a nod to her upcoming wedding to Brandon Blackstock, which is said to be October 20th. Listen to the single version below.

Kelly is currently working on a lyric video for the track and is asking her fans for their wedding photos to be included in the clip. Simply Tweet a high res image and tag it with #TieItUpVideo.

Ne-Yo and Cher Lloyd took to social media to ask fans for inspiration when writing a song for an ice cream brand. After receiving plenty of suggestions, the two of them wrote ‘It’s All Good‘, which also happens to be the slogan for the fruit bars, Fruttare.

The whole campaign is all a little too contrived for our liking, but their song is perfectly nice. Listen to the track below and rate the track on the left.

Tinie Tempah - apart from being a beautiful man – apparently is also one of the nicest men in showbiz. He talks to Rollacoaster magazine about the music industry, his career and his admiration for Dizzee Rascal.

‘I feel that I’m very much still studying this whole craft; the music industry. I have no ego when it comes to this. I’m always watching people – and if they’re doing something right, I want to know how it’s done,’ said Tinie.

‘No artist will deny that the more opportunities like that come your way, the more it reaffirms your confidence, and makes you think: “Maybe I’ve gotten to a stage now where people do do things like this”,’ he said.

It’s a busy year for lovers of all things Destiny’s Child; a one-time reunion at the Super Bowl, Kelly Rowland will release her album ‘Talk A Good Game’ next week, Beyonce is busy touring and shooting commercials, and now we have the announcement that Michelle Williams will be releasing her own material.
Her fourth album will be a return to her gospel roots and will coincide with her own reality show, My Sister’s Keeper, which follows Williams and her sisters as she balances family life and the pressures of releasing a new solo project.

Eliza Doolittle returns with ‘Big When I Was Little‘, the lead single from her forthcoming second studio album.

Eliza continues her sunny pop sound while reminiscing about things from her childhood in the 90s. She said about the song:

“I was in the studio and I was rambling on about something saying ‘that was big when I was little’ and Steve [producer] goes ‘that’s a great song title!’” So I wrote down some ideas and references and we wrote the song. It’s the first song off of the new record and I can’t wait for the whole album to be in your ears.”

‘Big When I Was Little’ is out 28th July.

Update: the final version of the song has now officially premiered.

Britney Spears has been alluding her new album will be more hip hop and less pop, but before she serves us her urban mix, she brings us the very poppy ‘Ooh La La‘, her contribution to the Smurfs 2 soundtrack. Last month she tweeted about the song:

“Remember that surprise song I recorded for my boys? It’s coming soon! “Ooh La La” for The Smurfs 2  Stay tuned for more…”

The Saturdays will be releasing their new single ‘Gentleman‘ at the end of the month, and the single will come with b-side ‘Wildfire‘. Said track has made an appearance online this morning.

Katy B, looking the part with her bright make-up and dressed in Henry Holland, performed her excellent new single ‘What Love is Made Of‘ live on The Graham Norton Show last night. She started off a tad flat, but managed to pull it together towards the end.

In the interview with Graham she also revealed her dad was part of the German entry at 1976 Eurovision Song Contest. Check out her dad (ginger with moustache) as part of The Les Humphries Singers performing “Sing Sang Song”.

Miley Cyrus talks about her reinvention with Billboard magazine. She goes on about her album, the collaborations and describing her new single ‘We Can’t Stop‘ as a more mature ‘Party In The USA’.

We haven’t quite made up our mind about Miley 2.0, but her new looks feels a bit try-hard and she’s not coming across as all that likeable in the interview below.

Ciara‘s new single ‘I’m Out‘ is one for the clubs and the lyric video to the track clearly shows that illustrates that.

Speaking to MTV back in April Ciara said:

“The energy of the record is so dope, and it’s really for the ladies, and Nicki she just killed the verse. She literally murdered it, like she got that throw-back, that thing that she does that’s so special. She went in.”
