Cause new Britney’s on a mission: new album this year!

Hot on the heels of her VMA hat trick comes more great news for Britney fans!

Spears' label have revealed to Popjustice that her new album is due in December – not February 2009 as had been rumoured – and will be preceded by a November single.

She is also expected in the country for promotional duties. Someone get her on the Charlotte Church show so we can watch the feathers fly.

ps. Britney – wouldn't the MTV EMAs in Liverpool be a perfect place to perform the single? Please God, make it happen. She's ready!
