    The next single from Katy Perry's album Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection will be... Wide Awake.

    'Wide Awake' will be the 8th single from the re-issued album.

    This was on facebook today and people seemed really bored. Well I am f'ing bored to death of this f'ing album. I always hated Katy Perry for a) singing (listen to Firework live), b) styling, c) popping up everywhere and d) the silly publicity marriage. Anyway I gradually got to like her and there are some good songs on the album and some good mixes (and Hot and Cold is classic pop) but she's repackaged the album (again?) and dragging it all out. I haven't checked as she's boring me again but I assume the repackage contains few new tracks? Either do the classic of the repackage genre (Fame Monster) or do her f'ing job and produce a new album. There'll be songwriters and producers falling over themselves to do most of the work.
    P.S I think she's an OK singer now and a very likeable character - to end positively!

    Katy Perry performed 'Wide Awake' on Capital FM's Summertime Ball. Not as bad as her performance at the Billboard Awards (where she admittedly swung around), but not the most solid of performances.

    I do like that she sings live (badly), unlike Britney or Madonna who lip synch or sing along over a fat backing track.

    I'm intrigued to see how the film does. There does seem to be a general air of Katy-fatigue among pop fans now, what with this never-ending Teenage Dream campaign.

    As good as the album is, nobody told her to milk it for 2 years. All for that pointless record she's trying to break. And she might not even score another #1 with 'Wide Awake'. Even if she would, it feels a bit like cheating when you re-release an album with more new songs.

    Katy Perry will be channeling Snow White in her video for 'Wide Awake', her latest single (8th in total!) lifted of Teenage Dream. The good news is that this has been labelled 'the final chapter', so after this, no more singles!

    Oh I just can't take Katy Perry anymore. She's everywhere - video after video, awards shows, concerts, film (lets not forget the Smurfs!). Her cold steely eyes are everywhere. I hope she has a nice long break, learn to sing and come back as a disco diva. In meantime I'm off to the Priory
