What a pleasant surprise, a new Kylie tune, a new Kylie video, and both are great! No big long drawn out teaser campaigns, just some good music. Love it!

    Check out 'Timebomb' below.

It reminds me of the brilliant X era. The sound effects in the video towards the end are very X2008 tour as well as the 'Whoop' bits.

I wasn't sure what to think of this at first but after a lie down in the sun with it on repeat I can say I love it. Apparently the song and video are doing quite well in the US and it's already in the iTunes top 10 here. She's actually brilliant in the video; she looks like she's properly enjoying herself and I love that. All she needs to do now is turn it up a notch and give us a full length album and she'll be scoring number ones again in no time.

She'll be performing on Sunday's result show for The Voice. Should be good for sales next week - fingers crossed for a ten 10 entry.

Totally love it! Love video and love fact it just suddenly appeared (well for those not in the know like me!). Didn't see her on Voice as I refuse to watch that crap but I'm guessing she was amazing. Go Kylie!!xx

What a brilliant piece. I loathe these middle aged women who so generously admire a star like Kylie ("when she did I should be so lucky") whilst sticking the knife in about her appearance "at her age". I hear this from women all the time and its pure jealousy. There's plenty of 44 year old women who look a total state. When they criticise her its because they know they wouldn't dare show their own flabby, fat bodies in anything vaguely revealing - so Kylie's wrong somehow. "Oh but she's had work done". And you maintain a body like that how exactly? What "work" does that. They don't even know what "work" is. She works hard on her appearance day in day out - its her job. You'd never hear the same crap about a man. "Gary Barlow's looking more and more handsome" at 41 or whatever he is. Yes he's so unthreatening he could be a sock puppet with bristles. If Kylie wants to cover up and change direction for a bit then good for her. But I f'ing hope she doesn't. Grrrrrr!!

I totally love the way Kylie dresses, but I do seem to recall Kylie (allegedly) talking about 'covering' up around her X album. It probably was taken out of context, like many interviews, but she was dressing more demurely on the X2008 tour (more longer dresses, less golden hotpants), which I liked, but I LOVED that blue corset costume during her Showgirl tour.

Mind you, that quote was pre-Gaga - who like it or hate it - made it fashionable to walk around in your pants again. If you got it, flaunt it, and Kylie - as per quote - has an exceptional pert ass, so flaunt it!

NOT happy that 'Timebomb' is tumbling down the itunes chart. Mind you, even if she peaks at 31 she'll have beaten Madge's last two efforts. (I actually do love Madonna but i'm unimpressed with the MDNA era thus far. Hope the tour will turn me round...)

    BACK ON TOPIC, EVERYONE (me).

Why didn't Kylie release a remix package this week? Her fans would have lapped it up and pushed up the single entry. Or even bundle it with a b-side, judging by her anti tour there's enough demand. It might be twisting the rules a little, but I think it's still eligible for chart entry...

Love this behind the scenes for Timebomb. Gutted I wasn't around Soho that day.

Did you guys all watch Kylie's medley at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert? Loved Kylie's Pearly Queen outfit and glad she included All The Lovers.

Bah, the Best Of *just* missed the Top 10! But I have to admit i'm pleasantly surprised it even got to #11.

'Timebomb' has dropped out of the Top 40 after two weeks, but a remix package is imminent according to La Minogue's Twitter.

Oh - and we forgot to mention that a Kylie & Jason reunion at Hyde Park was finally confirmed last week! Wish we were going:

I completely missed this, but Kylie Minogue has recorded a new song for the Holy Motors soundtrack, called 'Who We Were'.

This is a low quality recording (it's a snippet featured in the film and someone obviously recorded it on their phone), but it sounds very old Hollywood / musical.

Annoyingly the proper version is blocked outside of the US, so you'll have to make do with a recording of a TV.

Love the fact Kylie 'probably' met the Queen back in 1988, but isn't quite sure...
