Mariah Carey - new album + new single '#Beautiful'

After posting a lot of snaps in the studio, world's favourite self-embracing diva Mariah Carey has finally announced new music is on the way:

I really hope it's a fresh new Mariah sound, rather than her usual sound with Jermaine Dupri. She's kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time for embracing her mad diva side. I really love that about her.

Mariah has uploaded this cryptic image to Twitter yesterday. Summer officially starts on Thursday (21st June), so let's hope a new single drops then.

I wonder what she'll have to say about Lady Gaga... Just saying because it comes up in every interview with Madonna and I think they asked the same question to Kylie and Christina Aguilera when they came out with new albums.

Mariah Carey is in the studio with Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins. Quite excited about this news, as I find Mariah's albums quite samey when she works with just JD. Let's see what they come up with.

Now that Jennifer Lopez is leaving American Idol, People magazine report that Mariah Carey is in serious talks to be a judge on the show.

Mariah Carey keeps the world's retouchers single handedly in work (and we love her for it). Check out the cover for her new single 'Triumphant (Get 'Em)', which is expected to premiere on Thursday 2nd August.

The full version premieres later today, but here's a preview of 'Triumphant (Get 'Em)'. Sounds like most of her old stuff. I was hoping for a new sound, although it doesn't sound quite good.
