I love the whole BGT thing, but thought a little competition would be good for it.. At first The Voice started off so well and though that it would not only out do BGT, but may also take over from Xfactor.. Well from what I have seen in the live shows so far, I doubt t.at will happen now.. Is it me or is The Voice so flat and lifeless??

BGT is starting live tonight and its looking to be as exciting and fun as ever.. Can't wait for it..

I prefer the voice over BGT, but the acts on the Voice aren't all that good or likeable. Perhaps once they cut down on the contestants it might start to get good. I do like that husky sounding girl.

Britian got talents a talent show , the voice is a singing show similar genres not the same the media choose's to compare the two and the voice is good better than x factor because thats what it should be compared too because its all about the voice not all the other hype .

The Voice is really struggling in the UK. We wouldn't be surprised if the eventual winner is a flop a la David Sneddon/Alex Parks. Cue The Voice being quietly shelved...maybe it'll get one more series. But the whole concept is flawed.

I know it's supposed to be about 'The Voice', but i find most performances a bit bland and the contestants really do a bit too much vocal acrobatics; not easy on the ears.

The problem with The Voice, for me, is that it's like Fame Academy in the way it takes itself so seriously. It was made out to be something amazing, a show that would piss all over The X Factor but it's basically the same show. People singing for votes, someone wins at the end and they get a record contract. Big wow. The only differences are the audition stage and the lack of irritating novelty acts. I think Geraint is right about the winner probably turning out to be a flop -- the winners from these shows do tend to struggle after the show is over and they're releasing music.

As far as BGT goes, that show knows exactly what it is and doesn't pretend to be anything else.
