Katy Perry will not stop until she has that elusive 6th #1 single off her hughly succesful album ‘Teenage Dream’. Perry has the same number of #1 singles from Teenage Dream on the Hot 100 as the late King of Pop did from his 1987 album ‘Bad’. Her last single ‘The One That Got Away‘ didn’t reach the top spot, so her latest plan is an expanded edition of Teenage Dream, called The Complete Confection, which will be released on March 26th, with ‘Part Of Me‘ being the first single. In the press release she stated:
“It was an incredible honor to tie the King of Pop’s Billboard Hot 100 record, but I’m moving forward and had a few things left to get off my chest. So this is the complete special edition of my album for my fans.”
The Complete Confection will feature:
- The original 12 tracks
- The mix of ‘E.T.‘ with Kanye West
- The mix of “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” with Missy Elliott
- The acoustic Jon Brion version of ‘The One That Got Away‘
- Three new songs, incl. the new single ‘Part of Me‘ – listen to the new version below.
- A 7-minute Tommie Sunshine megamix of the six released singles
