WAPS was among the revellers who braved east London’s chilly streets last night for Ke$ha’s Secret Show with MySpace.
The event was held at quirky venue The Bathhouse and saw Ke$ha taking to the stage at 9.30pm for a brief but energetic set which featured glitter cannons and dancing trannies (pretty standard for a Ka$ha show, then.)
Rather hilariously, 90% of the audience followed the instructions on the invite and arrived in ‘Animal’-inspired fancy dress, so we were surrrounded by bunny ears, horse masks and faux-fur. The setlist was:
- Backstabber
- Party At A Rich Dude’s House
- Dinosaur
- Blah Blah Blah (announced as the new single)
- Tik Tok
- Fuck Him (He’s A DJ)
Unfortunately the night was oversubscribed, meaning several disappointed fans were turned away on health and safety grounds. A distraught Ke$ha took to her Twitter account afterwards to apologise, saying:
I’m so sorry 4any of my fans that tried to come to the show and didn’t get in last night I begged the fire marshal to let me play 2 shows but they wouldn’t :( Thank u for coming and I will make it up to you I swear I love u guys and would never ever want you to have to stand in the cold.
