Drake has released a controversial duet with late R&B star Aaliyah – and it seems unlikely that her former collaborator Timbaland will approve. When asked about Drake’s intentions to rework previously unheard Aaliyah vocals, Timbo responded:
“I know [Drake and producer Noah '40' Shebib] are trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if Drake does it, it should be with me and him and Missy Elliott. I don’t know what’s going on. The proper way to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. For it to be on his record, that would not be right.”
Evidently Drake wasn’t too concerned by this, as he ploughed ahead with the project, and the first fruits are with us today. Check out ‘Enough Said‘, below, and see what you think. Are you excited for posthumous Aaliyah material, or do you think Drake has gone too far?
