Leona Lewis is back for a third crack of the whip after her second album ‘Echo’ dented the Syco-superstar tag she almost established with ‘Bleeding Love’ and parent album ‘Spirit’ back in 2007/8.
Anyway, she returned to the spotlight today with the radio premiere of ‘Collide‘, the lead single from her upcoming third album. The nicely danceable (but still epic – come on, this is Leona we’re dealing with) song has already been compared to Coldplay, Alexis Jordan and Katy Perry (‘Firework’), and while we can definitely hear all these comparisons, ‘Collide’ is more than the sum of its parts.
We think it deserves to do better than her last lead single (2009′s disappointing ‘Happy’), but only time will tell.

UPDATE: Oh dear, Ministry of Sound are already calling it a rip-off of one of their tracks – more info here.
