‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ is the debut single from X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson, who has kept a fairly low profile up until her recent advert for Walkers crisps. The Liverpudlian lass wrote the song with Eg White (responsible for Adele’s ‘Chasing Pavements’, Duffy’s ‘Warwick Avenue’, James Morrison’s ‘You Give Me Something’, Will Young’s ‘Leave Right Now’ and many more), and it’s expected to feature on her forthcoming debut album (released 5th December).
Rebecca is going for a modern soul sound, which reminds us slightly of Gabrielle.
Rebecca said: ‘I’ve loved writing and recording the album throughout this year so I’m really excited for everyone to hear it! I feel like I’ve learnt a lot about myself going through the writing process, putting my experiences on paper and into the tracks. – It’s a record I’m really proud of.’
