Ciara‘s lead single ‘Sweat‘ was supposed to introduce her forthcoming album ‘One Woman Army‘. The urban tune lacked a memorable chorus and felt dated. The single was eventually scrapped before its scheduled release 19th June for undisclosed reasons. We can only presume the dismal reception made Ciara’s new record label decide not to release a music video and focus on the next single.
A 1’30 minute snippet from new track ‘Overdose‘ – which was recorded for her new album – appeared online earlier today. Let’s hope this 80s inspired track will become the next single, as Ciara could definitely do with a hit before releasing her fifth studio album.
