Whitney Houston is back! Back!! BACK!!! And she’s brought the power ballad with her.
Opinions are divided over comeback single ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength‘ – it does sound rather dated, and it’s hardly attention grabbing – but we think it was probably wise to bring her back along these lines rather than with some dreadful attempt at targeting a younger audience (hello, Madge) who probably weren’t alive during her pre-bonkers days.
Having said all that, we wouldn’t be at all surprised if she’s got something more ghetto/urban/feisty up her sleeve…

Welcome back, Whiney! Great tune written by one of my all-time favorite songwriters, Diane Warren. Houston gets a few brownie points for NO AUTO-TUNE !!! and bringing back what sounds like REAL MUSIC. Hope the rest of the new project sounds as great…if not better.
