Garbage announce new album spring 2012

News: Garbage to self-release new album in Spring 2012

After a lot of teasing, Garbage have finally given us some concrete information about their upcoming album. They’ve announced the launch of their own record label, STUNVOLUME. They’ll self-release the album later this Spring and added the following:

“We have been in the studio putting the finishing touches on our fifth studio album, our first in seven years.  The new album is being recorded at Red Razor Sounds in the Atwater Village area of Los Angeles, CA. This is the first of our records to be recorded outside of Madison, WI.  The album is being produced by Garbage, engineered by Billy Bush, and mixed by Butch Vig and Billy Bush.

Our intention is to make a great record that we have written, recorded and produced as a band.
We intend to tell the truth.

We are one.

Even though it’s hard.”

The band tweeted that the album is off for mastering now and that the deluxe edition of the album will feature 16 new songs.
