Never a dull moment in the Sugababes!
Precisely two years on from Keisha Buchanan‘s untimely departure comes surprising news that the group’s much-hyped comeback single ‘Freedom‘ has been cancelled.
Fans were left scratching their heads earlier this week when the track disappeared from iTunes’ pre-order list, and now we know why: as of September 25th, ‘Freedom’ will available as a free download from Amazon UK.
A statement on the group’s Facebook page reads:
As a thank you to their fans the Sugababes are offering their new single, ‘Freedom’ as a free download via Amazon. Head to this link to download your copy of ‘Freedom’ available from September 25th
Given ‘Freedom”s gargantuan promo campaign (a Nokia ad, a video, several live performances and interviews over a four month period), we can’t help but think that ‘Freedom’ was intended to put the ‘Babes back on the map in a big way.
Whoops…

What do you think?
