Russian Roulette - the new single by Rihanna
With all the hoo-ha surrounding an unexpected and dramatic countdown widget to Rihanna‘s comeback single ‘Russian Roulette‘, we’d convinced ourselves that a big scary electro stomper was on the cards. How wrong we were – edgy Barbadian Ri-Ri has wrongfooted us with a passionate, Ne Yo-penned ballad. Could it be that she’s deliberately trying not to compete wth Lady GaGa’s ‘The Fame Monster’ or are we reading too much into it?
Rihanna’s 4th studio album ‘Rated R’ is out on November 23rd 2009. Shall we place bets on how many singles she can get out of this one? We’re going for…twelve.
i’d say i’m slightly bored. She might sort of be continuing Lady Gaga’s “fame/fetish” theme…. From Poker Face to Russian Roulette. Even though its a ballad, its rather dull in my books. Although it will probably grow on me!
