Lana Del Rey‘s appearance on American sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live didn’t go down history as one of the best loved performances. Appearing visibly nervous, her vocals were a bit off and her stage presence a little awkward. In fact it almost looked like SNL were doing a Lana parody.
This week SNL, never one to miss an opportunity, did indeed run with a rather clever sketch where Kristen Wiig dressed up as Lana and addresses the public’s feedback.
Seth Meyers: So Lana, three weeks ago, you were on the show and sang two songs of your new album?
Lana: that’s what I thought I did Seth. But based on the public’s response, I must have instead clubbed a baby seal while singing the Taliban’s national anthem.
