‘Once’ is the debut single from X Factor 2008 finalist Diana Vickers, and you can listen to it by clicking on the player below. Marmite-voiced Vickers has been working with the likes of Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, ‘What It Feels Like For A Girl’, Britney Spears, ‘Everytime’); Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol); Nerina Pallot (who is also working with Kylie at the moment); Starsmith (FrankMusik, Ellie Goulding); plus indie darlings Patrick Wolf and Lightspeed Champion on her debut album.

Sounds promising, but can one handle an entire album of those distinctive vocals? We’ll find out in April, when the currently-untitled record is released.
