Mariah Carey’s ‘Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel’ was such an earth-shattering success that she’s announced an imminent remix edition entitled ‘Angels Advocate’.

The first fruits of this project have now been revealed: a re-imagining of ‘Angels Cry’, which is now even slushier thanks to the inclusion of crooner Ne-Yo.

‘Angels Advocate’ is released on February 23rd.

The lyrics to 50 Cent’s ‘Baby By Me‘ are questionable to say the least – but they didn’t put Kelly Rowland off from making a guest appearance in the video. You’re welcome to him, love.

Russian Roulette - the new single by Rihanna

With all the hoo-ha surrounding an unexpected and dramatic countdown widget to Rihanna’s comeback single ‘Russian Roulette‘, we’d convinced ourselves that a big scary electro stomper was on the cards. How wrong we were – edgy Barbadian Ri-Ri has wrongfooted us with a passionate, Ne Yo-penned ballad. Could it be that she’s deliberately trying not to compete wth Lady GaGa’s ‘The Fame Monster’ or are we reading too much into it?

Rihanna’s 4th studio album ‘Rated R’ is out on November 23rd 2009. Shall we place bets on how many singles she can get out of this one? We’re going for…twelve.

After the commercial failure of her last album ‘Human’, Brandy went straight back into the studio to work on a follow up. Ne-Yo gave her a helping hand, resulting in ‘Goodnight, Good Morning‘; a mellow drum-and-bass-y duet.

Anyway, this song has been confirmed to be featured on Alexandra Burke’s forthcoming debut album.

MTV gets a lot of stick for not showing enough music videos, but there’s no denying they put on amazing award shows with the best talent, production, hosts and build-up campaigns.

We love this West Side Story-themed promo for September’s VMA Awards, which features an all singing, all dancing cast of stars – keep your eyes peeled for Cobra Starship, Leighton Meester, Katy Perry, Ne-Yo, Russell Brand and Taylor Swift.

Can’t wait for the actual show, which will also feature Pink, Muse and Lady GaGa. Bring on September 13th – and let’s hope GaGa sweeps the board.
