Hipster’s favourite Uffie was supposed to do big things back in 2006/7, but it never quite happened. Perhaps taking the best part of four years to release a video for ‘Pop The Glock‘ didn’t help.
She recently found herself at the centre of a Twitter beef (Tweef?) caused by one-man argument Frankmusik, who took it upon himself to accuse Ke$ha of ripping-off Uffie’s style (which she hasn’t, incidentally.)
ANYWAY. 2010 will finally see the release of Uffie’s debut album ‘Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans’ – which includes a collaboration with Pharrell Williams – but until then you can check out new track ‘MCs Can Kiss’, produced by Mr Oizo.
It’s pretty good, but god knows what’s going on with that saxophone at the end…
She sounds a bit lispy, some sort of speech impediment and the Saxophone finish is completely… unique. I wouldn’t bet against drug use being behind this.
