It’s been almost two years since Keisha Buchanan was kicked out of Sugababes, and bar a couple of leaked tracks we’ve heard very little ever since. That’s all about to change, however, as the former ‘babe finally launched her solo career last night with an acoustic showcase at Jacques Townhouse in London. Buchanan performed new tracks ‘Fearless‘, ‘Carried Away‘ and ‘Beautiful Mess‘; plus covers of Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and a mash-up of Beyonce‘s ‘Run The World (Girls)’ with Cyndi Lauper‘s ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’; plus solo takes on Sugababes’ classics ‘Push The Button’ and ‘Overload’. With Sugababes about to release their eighth album, it’ll be interesting to see how this all pans out.

Apparently last night’s performance was filmed professionally, but for now here’s a clip filmed by an audience member.

Keisha Buchanan performs ‘Girls’ mash-up:

Carried Away (new solo track)

Fearless (new solo track)

Beautiful Mess (new track)

    1. I Did Always Love Keisha's Voice… This New Material Sounds Good… Will Be Interesting To See How She Goes Flying Solo… =) X

    2. You can see where the talent went to. The new Sugababes song sounds like manufactured auto tuned commercial stuff they don't stand out anymore its a shame. Cant wait to hear the studio recording of Keisha's new tracks I want to hear real emotion and feeling put back in music again.

Yes, and 'Get Sexy', when Keisha was still in the band, never happened…

    4. Well that was the first album she did not co write any of the songs. She did not write it! she was doing as she was told and then got dropped.

If you don't think that Keisha didn't have a say in "Get Sexy" then you are a fool! She was the major voice on deciding who they worked with and who wrote what. She's the one that said they decided to take a break from writing for Sweet 7 in interviews. I'm not knocking her talent, but she was fired for being a pain in the ass not for being untalented.
