Lana Del Rey’s ‘National Anthem‘ video begins with our heroine taking on Marilyn Monroe’s iconic ‘Happy Birthday’ performance, before continuing with a Jackie O/JFK inspired montage (rapper ASAP Rocky portrays the President, FYI.)
Obviously it all looks like it was done through an instagram filter, but Lana doesn’t exactly ‘do’ non-retro:
